Huawei Developer Conference 2021 (Together) continued at Songshan Lake in Dongguan, releasing extensive information on the HarmonyOS ecosystem.
Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei’s consumer BG AI and all-scenario business, said earlier that Huawei devices based on HarmonyOS had reached 157 million units, and third-party devices based on OpenHarmony 60 million units.
In addition, HarmonyOS software distribution has reached more than 5.1 million developers across 170-plus countries and regions, with cumulative app distribution of 332.2 billion from January to September 2021.
NetEase Cloud Music announced a partnership with Huawei, becoming the first music app to achieve cross-device migration in the HarmonyOS ecosystem, allowing users to use NetEase Cloud Music seamlessly on all Huawei devices running HarmonyOS. The feature goes live in November.
The two sides also demonstrated atomic services including service widgets at the Huawei Developer Conference.
HarmonyOS’s distributed capability enables cross-device migration of music services: users can switch music to a nearby playable HarmonyOS device and hand playback over in one tap to smart screens, tablets, watches and speakers, coordinating hardware and software resources across scenarios.
