On 28 July, QuestMobile released its China Mobile Internet 2020 Half-Year Report.
The report notes that monthly active users across the internet edged up year on year under the pandemic’s influence, onlineisation has become the standard for reshaping scenarios, and mini programs have entered a boom period, with Zhuanzhuan joining Pinduoduo, JD.com and Vipshop in the top ten mobile shopping WeChat mini programs for June 2020.
The report also shows that Zhuanzhuan Group’s Zhuanzhuan app and Zhaoliangji app were both named to the 2020 half-year China Mobile Internet Strength Value List, taking two of the three second-hand category apps on the overall list, as the duopoly pattern of the second-hand e-commerce market becomes ever clearer.
Online demand releases a mini program boom
In the first half of this year, under the pandemic’s influence, China’s mobile internet showed new development trends. The QuestMobile report shows the pandemic further deepened users’ reliance on the internet, with mobile internet penetrating every industry.
As epidemic control improved, life returned to normal and the consumer market recovered steadily, online consumption showed stronger recovery vitality, and onlineisation became the standard for reshaping many scenarios. Against this backdrop, mini programs have boomed, becoming a new traffic entrance and a new source of users.
