When startups choose an app development company, most know little about apps, assume development is simple and that results barely differ, and sign contracts easily, only for 80 percent of startups to make fatal mistakes. Here is a new model for saving costs.
First, app development is never simple. Before starting development and quoting, carefully experience the products on the market, work with the development company, and list the functional requirements in as much detail as possible. Even basic registration and login may split into email registration, WeChat authorisation, QQ authorisation, Weibo authorisation and SMS verification code login, and password recovery into email recovery and SMS recovery.
Second, an app product typically includes an Android app, an iOS app, a desktop operation and management back end, a mobile operations assistant and a server; usually all five are indispensable. Of course, in the early stage you can develop selectively and keep improving later.
Third, app types include H5, hybrid development and native development. H5 is the web version: fast to build but limited in function and slow to load. Native development is code written line by line: fast response, strong performance, many features. Hybrid combines native and H5, with function and performance depending on the degree of mixing.
Native apps have many features and good performance but involve many details and cost more; H5 is cheap but performance is worrying. How should a company choose? With the development of mobile internet technology, platform-based app development has become the new trend.
