LPG-to-Pipeline Payment Mini Program

Shenzhen Construction (Group) Co., Ltd. is the contractor for the LPG-to-pipeline conversion works. To speed up the final phase and make payment easier for residents, the group built the LPG-to-Pipeline Final-Phase Payment Mini Program: residents pick their door number and pay online, engineers can check payment status, and finance can reconcile.

Project background

The LPG-to-pipeline programme is a key measure by the municipal and district governments to raise residents’ sense of gain, happiness and security. Under the Shenzhen municipal government notice on the citywide programme (2021–2033) and the Futian district action plan (2021–2022), the group had to complete the Futian final phase in 2022, and the works were classified as an emergency project.

The final phase is characterised by scattered households, small individual amounts and a tight schedule: asking residents to pay at a counter is unrealistic, and cash is hard to reconcile.

Payment flow

A resident picks the door number in the mini program and pays online — one step. Engineers can also check a resident’s payment status in the mini program, so they no longer phone to confirm while working on site.

Funds and reconciliation

The system accepts WeChat payment and the back office connects directly to China Construction Bank’s interface, so payment reaches the company’s corporate account at once. The mini program’s statement and the bank statement are linked by order number, so finance can match the two record for record.

Outcome

• The door number is the entrance and payment is one step, so the final phase moves faster.
• Engineers can check payment status on site, cutting repeat visits and phone confirmations.
• Money reaches the corporate account directly, never through a personal or temporary account.
• Order numbers link the two statements, so finance has something to check against.
