Drone Training Exam Mini Program

The Drone Training Exam Mini Program is built for drone students and moves the whole path — browse a course, choose a class, pay, book practical training, study online — into WeChat: students complete their own enrolment, and academic staff simply read the result in the back office.

Project background

Drone-training recruitment used to run on phone calls and one-to-one WeChat chats: a student asks about a course and the recruiter sends images; the student enrols, pays by transfer and is registered by hand; before class opens, every student is phoned to confirm the time. The information lives in chat history, and refunds, class changes and hour checks all mean scrolling back through it.

The client wanted recruitment and academic affairs inside a mini program: students browse courses, choose a class, pay and book their own class times, while academic staff only need to check enrolment and scheduling results in the back office.

Design goals

  • Enrolment self-service — courses, classes, prices and bookable slots are all visible online, so a student need not ask anyone before deciding.
  • Flexible payment — a deposit path and a full-payment path run side by side; the deposit holds the place and the balance is settled offline.
  • Study online — after enrolment the courseware enters a day-by-day study plan, so PPTs can be flipped on the phone instead of waiting for a file in a group chat.
  • Reachable service — support hours are stated and text, voice and images are all accepted, so questions do not disappear into private chats.

System architecture

The mini program is organised into four areas — course browsing on the home page, study plan, online support and profile — covering the journey from choosing a course through enrolment and booking to completing it.

Core modules

Below, module by module. Every step is completed by the student on their own phone.

01

WeChat quick sign-in

Mobile number or WeChat authorisation; the sign-in button stays grey until the user agreement and privacy policy are ticked, so compliance and experience go together.

02

Course categories

The home page splits into “exam courses” (drone pilot, CAAC, aerial photography, inspection) and “professional training” (crop protection, security, aerial photography, logistics), with category navigation on the left and courses and prices on the right.

03

Classes and course detail

Course detail has two tabs: the introduction lists morning theory, afternoon practice and evening online quizzes day by day, while the syllabus gives the full theory outline and matching exercises.

04

Deposit and full payment

The bottom of the course page offers a deposit or the full amount; the price panel shows the total, the deposit and the enrolment period, with a promo code applied before payment.

05

Class booking

Two tabs, “book by class” and “free choice”; class cards show capacity and how many places are taken, and the confirm button stays grey until a date is chosen, which prevents mis-taps.

06

Study plan and courseware

Enrolled courses enter the study plan, listing the matching PPTs by teaching day in reverse order; tap to preview online and swipe to turn pages.

07

Online support

The support page shows the online hours, and the conversation accepts text, voice, emoji and images, so course, enrolment and booking questions are settled in one go.

08

Profile

Orders, courses, delivery addresses, identity verification, people I invited, FAQ and settings sit on one page; identity verification accepts a photo taken on the spot or uploaded from the album.

Outcome

  • Enrolment went from “add WeChat, send images, register by hand” to students ordering for themselves; the recruiter only handles exceptions.
  • Deposit and full payment run in parallel, with the place locked first, so the institution no longer holds empty seats for people who said they would come.
  • Courseware enters the study plan day by day, so students can look at any time and staff no longer repost files in the group.
  • Booked numbers are visible in real time, so whether to open a second class can be judged before the first one starts.
