News from September 15: per the STAR Market Daily, Apple will hold its product launch at 1 a.m. tomorrow, with the new iPad, AirTags and other accessories expected to appear. The supply chain says BYD Electronics has become a contract manufacturer for this round of new iPads, and that Apple will not release the iPhone 12 at this event, which focuses on the new iPad and Apple Watch.
As IT Home previously reported, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said this week’s event would spotlight the Apple Watch Series 6 and a new iPad Air, with the new iPad Air adopting an all-screen design similar to the iPad Pro but not using Apple’s newest A-series processor or a ProMotion display.
