The car market has grown quickly, and washing a car is part of owning one. Manual washing is careful and genuinely clean, but it takes time; self-service machines now handle a large share of that demand. If you are building a mini program around them, these are the features to get right.
1. Finding a machine
People drive to different places, so the need for a wash never happens at a fixed location. The first requirement is search: the customer has to be able to look up nearby self-service machines and choose one that suits where they are, which saves both time and a pointless detour.
2. Location and navigation
Being findable is only half of it. If the customer does not know the area well, they will reach for navigation — so the mini program should plan the route to the machine inside the app rather than pushing them out to a separate map. That is where the convenience actually sits.
3. Choosing a service
The mini program should carry several services, each with its own price, and the customer should be able to pick between them. They decide what they need, pay in the app, and the package is settled. That turns a decision which used to require a conversation with staff into two taps — saving the customer time and saving the operator labour.
4. Reviews
A bad review is not a threat. A customer who takes the trouble to leave one is telling you precisely what to fix, and once it is fixed that same customer is far easier to bring back a second time. So reviews belong in the build: they show how the service is really used and where it falls short.
The work also does not stop at launch. A car wash mini program should keep being revised against what the market is asking for — new service packages, changed pricing, a different booking flow — or it will stop fitting the conditions it was built for.
